Doghouse Funhouse minigolf hole! (pt. 1)

I’d like to let you all know I’ll be a guest at this year’s Comic Book I-Con in Altoona, Iowa on November 7th – stop by and say “hey” if you’re in the area! But (as they say in infomercials) that’s not all!…

I’ve also been working on a Doghouse Funhouse minigolf hole for the Lawrence Public Library Foundation‘s “Caddy Stacks” fundraiser. Here are some peeks at the work in progress (big thanks to Wendy Griswold for the photos); check out – and play – the finished hole on November 21st and 22nd!

  1. Congrats on the milestone! Nice to see you’re continuing the flashback twofers and nice work with your planes!

Have fun at the show and the Watusi minigolf work looks cool!

    1. Thanks! The minigolf hole has been fun to put together – a little different challenge than just doing a painting.

  2. Congrats on the less-than-6-month milestone! I’m really enjoying the flashback format…and the main plot too. Can’t wait to get to Esmerelda!

I’m afraid I won’t be in the Altoona area, but I’ll likely get to see the Doghouse Funhouse up close.

    1. Glad you’re enjoying the ride and that the flashbacks are helping that time pass in a fun way! I’m planning to get to the testing phase of the minigolf hole this weekend – hopefully it won’t be harder than a par two…

  3. Dale,
Congrats on your burst of creative energy! And, good luck with Caddy Stacks! Your participation should give your enterprise a good deal of local visibility.

  5. Hey Dale! Mini-comics meet Mini-golf! I love it! You should take that Watusi golf hole w/you to conventions. A hole in one gets a free comic! Have fun w/the testing phase! Enjoyed this week’s installment as always. Keep up the excellent work!

    1. It’s like you’re reading my mind! I’ve designed it to be collapsible, so I can drive it to shows for that very purpose! Doubtful I could use it anywhere I have to fly to, tho …
